Artist Statement: Conversation during walks along the beaches of New Zealand. The organic shape reflects New Zealand seascape: sparkles of the water, dramatic black volcanic rocks and metaphorically reposition and redefine the notion of value and essentiality. I am a French visual artist living in New Zealand. From my fashion background, I have been always interested by shapes and textures. I now translate this in my visual art practice. Contemporary jewellery gives me an intimate approach to art. Rings, necklaces, earrings connect directly with the body; the contact is not just visual but tactile: cold/hot metal/stone, creating a full range of feelings.
